Photography has the biggest visual impact on any website design, and getting it right can be daunting. With every custom website build, we’ll brief your photographer (even if it’s you!) and make sure the photos reflect you and your business.
A new logo and colours for your business makes a brand new you. We’ll talk to you about the best way to achieve this, whether it’s a full logo development or simply your name in a nice font.
Being clear and concise about what you offer is super important. Too little content and people are left with questions and don’t want to move forward, too much and they’re overwhelmed. With years of experience, we can help get the balance right.
If you want to manage your WordPress site after go-live, we include bespoke zoom training and how-to sheets so you can manage your site with ease.
It depends on the scale of the project but typically a project takes 6-8 weeks from the start date. We use project forms to gather content and information and keep our web design services on track. Some project schedules might run longer if we’re waiting for a particular brand photographer, for example, but this would be agreed in advance.
We build in WordPress. It’s the industry standard, the most popular for building bespoke websites. We also use the Elementor page builder software. Beyond this, we can buy software if you need something specific but that isn’t standard, but we don’t develop software or build websites completely from code.
You’ll always know your product or service better than anyone, so it’s best if you get your website wording started. That said, we can polish and clarify wording and align it to your brand. Or in the case that you’d like your website wording done for you, we can connect you with a trusted copywriter.
Based on your project needs, you’ll probably schedule a brand photo shoot so you can really show off your business online, like Emma and Lorraine did. If that’s not on the cards right now, we can do lots with pictures you’ve taken yourself, like Andy did or even one great photo, as for Werner. Some of the examples of sites you’ll see on our website are of ecommerce sites. While we have no plans to stop doing them entirely, it’s not something we’re focussed on at the moment. If you’re excited at the prospect of building an ecommerce shop with us, please just ask and we’ll decide on a case-by-case basis.
We don’t build on these platforms and while we could spend time in the code, it’s not the best use of our time – or yours!
All our websites are based on WordPress and Elementor, which together form a great content management system. If you don’t have the time or technical inclination, we provide monthly content support packages as part of our web design services. If you’d like to update the website yourself, we provide WordPress training via Zoom, as well as a handy cheat sheet for when you forget a step. Speak to us
