Web design for Wiltshire painter

Kate is a Wiltshire multi-media painter who loves painting landscapes and seascapes. She exhibits her work from her workshop and at local galleries.

"A friend recommended Lodge Digital to build my new artist website, and I'm so grateful to her! They took the time to get to know me and my artwork and to talk through ideas. I started out with a vague idea that I wanted something simple and easy to navigate, and Lodge Digital absolutely delivered that. What I wasn't expecting was the level of background research done by Danielle into artist's websites generally, and how they market and sell their work. She's given me a lot to think about, but in a very focused way that helps me to organise my work and make plans. My new website is such an asset - I'm so pleased with it!"

The challenge

Our client wanted to make her original artwork and prints available further afield. She also wanted to advertise her regular and ad-hoc watercolour classes and commission work.

The solution

We worked together to bring to life the look that Kate wanted, using research, conversations and a Pinterest board. These were useful for drawing out the look Kate wanted for her site, sparing, white and letting her artwork be the colour and the pop.

Since we went live, Kate has taken on a workshop space near her home to show her work on an ongoing basis and run her weekly classes.

A few times a year Kate and I put our heads together on a zoom to talk about marketing, showing up online and what’s next in her business.
